    torque converter and jackshaft

    I used a 3/4 inch jack shaft with mine. It seemed like there was more availability of parts for that size. But its your choice of what size to use. The 40 series driven comes in 5/8",3/4", and 7/8" bores.

    Need some help with a torque converter.

    The belt that I purchased is a 8 3/16" center to center and I have the center spacing at 8 1/8" becuase I though it was tight. It still grabs at idle.

    Need some help with a torque converter.

    So ive been rebuilding this yerfdog 3202 from just a frame. I bought a 420cc predator anx a 40 series torque converter for it. Ive installed both and i cant get the torque converter to stop engaging at idle. Ive messed with idle speed and the alignment of torque converter. Any ideas?

    Front engine vertical shaft build?

    If you use a differential you wouldn't have to convert the output to horizontal. The diff would take care of that, if you pointed it straight up. This depends on what size kart your building. It would have to be pretty big to fit a diff vertically.

    Gear Ratio for Big Tires

    Im building up a yerfdog 3202. No engine, back shocks, or axle so im gathering parts now. i have a 13hp predator engine and im getting a 40 series torque convert to transfer the power. Im planning on a jack shaft setup to power the axle from there. The problem is i have massive 25in tires...
