    Comet/salsbury Clutch help

Ok, Found a great resource known as Quality Drive Service in California. Spoke with Roy. Apparently these were occasionally assembled without the necessary liners that allowed the weights to free roll. Not repairable, but replaceable with parts from Roy. Thanks for all the help. No...

    Comet/salsbury Clutch help

Ok. Wasn't sure. They don't turn. At all. Not even with force. And don't appear to have ever rolled. Base on looking at the paint on them... Since they're riveted onto the arms. Would it be safe to think the replacements would then bolt on?

    Comet/salsbury Clutch help

More questions.... The blue rollers (?) In my bottom right photo should roll? THey don't and appear to have been riveted to their arms too tightly to do so. THey also don't appear to have ever rolled as they are worn in one spot from sliding on the bell of the clutch.... Ideas?

    Comet/salsbury Clutch help

I tore into the clutch on my Manco dingo deuce to do a cleaning and belt check. What I found was not a comet 30 or 40 like I had hoped. The tag says its a comet/salsbury. It appears that the rollers are sliding instead of rolling which would explain the lurching and surging on accel and...

    MAnco Deuce Brake caliper help

Ok. Swapped the pull rods with The return springs and still have crappy brakes... The right side caliper moves when the pedal is pressed. The left does not. I'm thinking it may be rebuild time. Anyone familiar with these? Anything to watch for?

    MAnco Deuce Brake caliper help

I've got a manco dingo deuce with sketchy brakes. I know the TC running through the comex transmission doesn't help but they should be better than they are. I love the video about rebuilding the comet TC I'm hoping theres a video like that for the Manco calipers???

    New project

Depending on your fab and welding skills you already have a rear axle rims and tires. The big question is what is that rear center section made out of that is already on the axle you have. Then frame and attach appropriately.

    Grave Digger with Tecumseh 6hp

Shouldn't bee the idle screw causing it to bog out and die. Sounds more like a fuel starvation/supply issue. You're running the carb bowl out of fuel, won't restart because the bowl is empty, then takes a minute or two to refill. Check the fuel line coming from the tank. Look for kinks or...

Tecumseh 12HP oil in air filter housing....

Thanks guys. It appears that the easy life that this kart had ( hauling an older couple around to check their horse pastures) wasn't so good to this motor. Lots of carbon. Cleared the drain back hole in the breather, and then spent the last 2 hours running my boys all over the neighbor hood...

Tecumseh 12HP oil in air filter housing....

I've got a new to me Manco Dingo Deuce with the OHM120 tecumseh 12hp engine on it. While doing some sight seeing type maintenance I found the paper pleated oil filter completely soaked in engine oil with no foam pre filter in place. Only place I can find that oil would get into the air...
