I've got a manco dingo deuce with sketchy brakes. I know the TC running through the comex transmission doesn't help but they should be better than they are. I love the video about rebuilding the comet TC I'm hoping theres a video like that for the Manco calipers???

Here ya'll go. hope this will help. The kart has 2 of these on the rear axle, one on each side of the transmission. Neither work real well and I'm guessing need some rebuilding or adjusting. Thanks in advance...

What shape are the pads in? Also, swap the holes where the brake rods and return springs are mounted. The hole farthest out on the arm will give you more mechanical advantage (i.e. power)which will help.

I would still check out your brake pads though....

Except...........I don't think those holes are the same size....but it's still worth doing....bushings and washers are cheap....

EDIT: Also....there needs to be enough travel in the system to accommodate the longer amount needed to use the outer hole....

Ok. Swapped the pull rods with The return springs and still have crappy brakes... The right side caliper moves when the pedal is pressed. The left does not. I'm thinking it may be rebuild time. Anyone familiar with these? Anything to watch for?

It doesn't look like the caliper is able to float.
I see the main bolts are possibly what hold the thing together(I can't tell if it is a 1 or 2 piece), but I see a few washers that look like its holding it from floating about on those main bolts.
