They are not duplicate. That would mean that they are the exact same and they are not. One was supposed to be an introduction. But I guess I just can't win here. Thought you guys would be more user friendly.

You have an axle from a quad but no swingarm to attach to. Those plates are not very pleasant looking either on the back.

I knew there was something fishy! and someone welded an extra plate in the middle. but its a crap weld job and should come off with a little help from an angle grinder.

so the real question is.. is it worth trying to breath life into?

I really don't see a problem with keeping your current rear end setup. Do you have a welder/are decent with a welder? Make either a swing arm, or make it rigid depending on what you want.

You're going to have to make a rear end anyways because the swing arm is missing (no way to attach the rear axle lol) so you could either spend the $20-30 in steel PLUS the 100-150-200 for a new axle, wheels, hubs, sprocket, locking collars, etc etc etc. OR you could just spend the 20-30 in steel, make the new swing arm, and use the atv rear axle setup as is.

It's not that big of a deal to use it lol

Depending on your fab and welding skills you already have a rear axle rims and tires. The big question is what is that rear center section made out of that is already on the axle you have. Then frame and attach appropriately.

But not nearly as long to post duplicate threads......tsk tsk.....not good!

They are not duplicate. That would mean that they are the exact same and they are not. One was supposed to be an introduction. But I guess I just can't win here. Thought you guys would be more user friendly.

Well I tried to delete it *shrugs* :backtotopic:

Don't sweat it....no big deal...you can delete posts...but only mods can delete threads....

It's not gonna bother anyone that much...just trying to give you a heads up....so it doesn't become habitual....

Having an introduction thread with your kart in is absolutely OK. I also saw the two threads, but when i saw where the one was, and that you were introducing yourself, i left it as is.

I would have done the same thing starting another thread. You don't want a long discussion in an introduction thread

Looks to me like your going to need to remove the old axle brackets thats on the frame now, and your going to have to build a swing arm for it. For the rearend to work you have from the 4-wheeler.
Or buy another keyed axle and put it back to the live axle it had to start with. Just my 2 cents.
