    if I'm correct, for amperage you need to wire in parallel and for voltage you must wire in series so your plan should work, but let one of the more experienced members make sure before you take my word

    i doubt a trimmer has enough torque for a go kart but i know heavy duty drill motors will work, you may need 2 to really get going but 1 will work too possibly

    of course, i understand that my plan wasn't the best ( i think i found a scrap place which will give me all the metal i need for 25$:wai:) and I've found a good golf cart motor and some batteries are on their way and I've found a website that should give me all the parts i can't get locally but...

    wait, holdup either your quite young and probably too naive about this build or your skinny as heck but even 100 pounds is a lot for a saw motor to handle, plus your CHASSIS is probably 35lbs your batteries are gonna be 15 each at least not to mention your drivetrain

    dude, if you can't go with metal, at the very least you want to use wood, and by that i mean 2x4's i mean 100ft of 2x4's is gonna run you less than 35$ and probably less than pvc its also quite strong you can lay out a 2x4x10 and only support the 2 ends and stand in the middle and it won't...

    well i do have [I]some[I] experience making things. i work at an auto body shop with my dad and i would be getting a lot of help if i get stuck, plus i have a lot of parts on hand like axle hangers, axles and misc parts but i think ill wait to find an old used one

    well i found that all the parts i need , if i buy separately i can get them decently cheap, the only karts i can find in my area are ready to go race karts which are at least a grand, I'm still looking however

    hmm, thats what i was thinking, would 2 24v drill motors be sufficient? i know they're quite strong
