Yeah I read that they have advanced timing when it starts for easier starts .....never thought of that in reference to the governor wasn't connected on throttle though springs were rusted off...only thing im gonna try is perhaps seafoam cylinder than check valves to see if there in spec maybe...

Im good with messing with things......governor is gone, custom linkage ,new tank with filter thinking its mechanical as in valves not breathing like they should can get it to run with both carbs still. Tolerance/deposits is what im checking next perhaps effecting tdc spark timing..

The carb on it now is the new one clean as can be......

Governor is a kill joy, so simple remove why hold down your torque and hp? Just take it out, you get to see the conditions of your motor and the oil has to be changed anyway. Easier to do maintenance on a workbench and inspect motor.

Check your spark plug sounds like deposits may be cutting your spark. Wire brush it when engine is missing or you see smoke. Read your plug then as well, could explain why your engine does great for a while then decreases performance.

Don't take my word for it but always seen clutch side facing out wards, hard for you to do any changes/take it apart with it facing that way. You should feel some jumps when it shifts...to test engine raise rear wheels off the ground remove belt let it go with no load careful if not governed...

Is your tc backwards? Dismantle and lube it could be getting stuck in a position once hot causing your issue from trying to expand on that side, also in the last pick your belt looks off alignment.

Will look into that site. Thought about getting a filter but the gas turns rust red, particles are so small collects in carb bowl. I brush it clean ran cart for an hour maybe and back to no starts. Filter be shot quickly want a plastic tank! Took off tank flushed it a couple times still got...

Tha So green is better than the yellow one? Was gonna pair the black garters 1500 engagement I think, with yellow springs..get pulling faster? I was able to fix the original spring have to play with settings on clutch see how it feels when buttons come in......what do you guys glue em in with?
