Subaru robin fuel tank swaps?

Basically my tank is full of crap......tried removing must of the rust but saw a couple of pinholes. Kept getting no starts until after I cleaned carb. Runs great then after a while engine wont run. Particles everywhere in carb. So what options are there for gas tanks? Will clones fit anything close?

Have you tried using a fuel filter? I know that doesn't solve the tank problem but, it will save you having to clean the carb every 10 minutes...

They sell race prepped robin/subaru engines (without the stock fuel tanks) and probably have a stack of brand new tanks they'd sell cheap

Will look into that site. Thought about getting a filter but the gas turns rust red, particles are so small collects in carb bowl. I brush it clean ran cart for an hour maybe and back to no starts. Filter be shot quickly want a plastic tank! Took off tank flushed it a couple times still got "floaters"...kids ready to ride!! Clones look close to it need measurements.

Also this engine is said to be one of most reliable etc.....why can't I easily find high performance intakes exhaust etc? Can someone please point me in the right direction?

That QRC shop (I posted the link above) has headers and intakes for slide-type carbs, they just don't list them on their site. You'd have to call/email them to order.
