    Tallest tire for 6” rim?

My mini moto 80needs new tires but could benefit with a taller ones at the same time. I was thinking about swapping to a taller wheel since there is a lot of room but not sure how big of a pain in the butt that will be. Anyone put taller tires on their MM80?

Predator 212, eBay TAV and RPM related vibration

My predator motor is stock and with the cheap eBay TAV is has a very good vibration that’s rpm related. It’s doesn’t matter what speed I’m going in the go kart when the motor is at that spot it’ll make your eyeballs shake. I was curious if anyone has had similar problems with either the 212 or TAV?

Anyone had a torque converter apart?

The other day while riding the go kart the bolt that threads into the engine crankshaft sheared off, letting torque converter parts go on their merry way. I managed to remove the remaining portion of bolt and put everything back together from what I can tell. I’m just trying to verify I didn’t...

    Trailmaster buggy

Older trailmaster buggy with the GY6 motor. It has some upgraded ignition parts such as an 11 pole rotor. New carb, aluminum intake elbow, coil and spark plug. I had it running last year before I put it up for the winter and don’t want to sink anymore money into it. It still needs a brake master...

Go kart as a trailer mover?

I’ve got 3 go karts and 1 minibike, when they run they are fun but my old trailmaster buggy has just been a money pit. I’m not impressed with the GY6 so far. I posted it for sale and at the same time realized I might be able to use it for something else I need, a trailer mover. My backyard is...

    The Manco intruder lives again!

I threw a predator 212 on it with an eBay torque converter with an 8t gear. The kart does great for bombing around the backyard, it had enough muscle to move about 350lbs of adults in it around and didn’t seem to strain. The predator is stock for now but I might have to have go fast parts...

Changing sprocket size or swap to torque converter?

Predator 212 stock max rpm 3600? 18” tires 10t drive sprocket and 60t driven Manco Intruder chassis and I’m about 220lbs. I’ve drove it around but it seems under powered or struggling. Playing with the drive ratio calculator looks like I need about an 80 tooth driven sprocket to achieve a 24mph...

GY6 150 flywheel differences or wrong part?

I bought an older Trailmaster buggy with the GY6 150cc motor that does not have any spark. Using a trouble shooting guide I believe it's the stator that is causing the lack of spark. The motor has a 6 pole stator and from what I've seen an 8 pole is an upgrade. So, I ordered an 8 pole stator and...

    Another identity a kart/buggy thread

I may have bought a boat anchor but for some reason I thought it would be worth trying to get going. It doesn’t have any names on it and it’s been sitting in the sun for a while. The brake master is dry rotten and busted along with most plastic pieces. The tires are foam filled but the rubber is...

    Help identifying converter setup

I bought a used go kart and managed 4 good rides out of it before the chain started walking off. At first I tightened up the nut and then noticed I’m missing atleast a snap ring that holds the shaft on the other end. I’m trying to figure out what parts flew off when the snap ring let go. Here’s...

    Project Dookie 'Zuki

Disclaimer: This project is in no way meant to look pretty! This is my progress so far. Just using what metal I have at the moment. I got the frame from a friend and stretched and widened it and I've mounted the motor and rear axle. If this turns out to be a fun kart I'll cut some of the...

To mount rear axle high or low

I've been working on the frame and gotten to mounting the 500cc suzuki motor and rear live axle. I'm not sure to mount the rear axle under the frame or on top. I could mount it low then it would give the kart more height and clearance but I would have to lower the motor. If I mounted the rear...

    Newbie to the site

I just wanted to drop in and say hello, and that I have started on my first go kart as something to fill my extra time. After looking at the links on where to get parts this is going to be fun!! I picked up a used frame and motor just for something to haul butt around the yard. This last...
