Any recommendations for a good coil?

I left the sensor in the block, but I disconnected it. How can I determine it is the coil that's at fault?

Yeah it does. That's the main reason I picked it up as a project.

The hubs looked good. My plan is to remove the stock stuff and run a live axle. Eventually I may convert it to a gas go kart but for now I think electric is the best option.

I don't think they are damaged. I put the stock key back in and it runs fine.

Did you make that hub or buy it somewhere?

Looking on ebay it looks like I can get a 48v kit for less than a 36v. Go figure

I'll check prices on the kits. The 24v stuff is pretty cheap, and the power wheels is already 24v, so we could reuse the battery pack for the time being, but no, the kids aren't going to get smaller...unfortunately.

I'd like to get a 1000 watt, but haven't found one on 24 volt, likely because of the amp draw. The 24 volt stuff is fairly cheap, and we could always upgrade in the future to 36 or 48 I suppose.

No. I just tightened it up like I have done on other Predators.

Update: I have put a 7 degree key into my non-hemi Predator twice and both times it sheared the key within a minute of starting and running the engine. Not sure if that just indicates bad keys or if the timing was way too advanced. Any ideas?

I have something similar to this, and also purchased a cable with a round mounting hole at the end. The problem I am now seeing is that I won't get much throw on the linkage. Maybe 3/4-1 inch of pull. Not sure if that's enough yet.

My tabs on the frame seem to be in a straight line, but the tab on the pedal seems high, requiring a bend in the linkage. It seems to me that ideally the tab would be in a line with, or maybe slightly lower, than the mounting tabs on the frame, but I'm not sure

Do you have a pic of your pedal setup? I'm thinking the pedal tab where my linkage would connect is too high. The threaded rod linkage takes a bend to reach the pedal, which doesn't seem ideal
