The 8 is a nice motor if you leave it stock. I've built alot of briggs motors and the 5 is the way to go if you plan on making power. It's really Pricey and hard to find parts for the 8. I just sold one of my 5s that made 27 hp. And i only spent about 400 building it. But you must do the work...

Well here in ca. This is anything but street legal. Plus its for my kids. I have a hard enough time finding tracks that will let it run. It will out run alot of jr dragsters. The other parents complain saying its to small to be so fast.
