help with a carb

I suppose you could but if the engine is stock, it will otherwise complicate things for you. For one, the governor will have to come out. You''l have to play with the jetting and buy/build an adaptor.

You probably could. But it's a fair bit of fussing around without much benefit. You may see improved throttle response, but you'll have to go through the whole jetting process.

I would not recommend removing the govener unless you buy an aftermarket flywheel. The stock one will explode around 5000rpm. It could really injure or kill someone. I built an 8hp for a mini chopper and made an intake to fit a vm22 mikuni. A 15 pilot, and 95 main work awesome. The intake just needs to be longer to give the fuel tome to atomize.

Wow!!! I guess the guru at bmi knows more then every pro engine builder. But unlike him I have seen them come apart. Why do u think they make billit parts? So the chance of it happening .... Doesnt.

If flywheels habitually detonated at 5000RPM, then I'd be going through them like underwear.

Billet parts start becoming mandatory well above governed speed. Keep the stock valvesprings, and valve flutter acts as a natural rev limiter. Build a high-RPM performance engine, and billet parts (including rod) are required.
