engine ideas

i have a briggs 8hp engine that needs some parts. i was thinking of buying a briggs 5hp but i dont know if it will have enuf power to get me going i have a 4 wheeler tire on the back so i dont think it will have the power i need.so should i use the 8hp or buy the 5hp

The 8 is a nice motor if you leave it stock. I've built alot of briggs motors and the 5 is the way to go if you plan on making power. It's really Pricey and hard to find parts for the 8. I just sold one of my 5s that made 27 hp. And i only spent about 400 building it. But you must do the work yourself or the price is extreme.
