Weird, because in the product description for that specific one it states: "Item for sale outside California only – please refer to item for California compliant model." In other words, that isn't the California-compliant model.

That would be excellent if that is the case - I might relocate the fuel tank so gravity feeding would no longer be an option. Still, I wonder why a fuel pump would be necessary on an unmodified engine since the fuel tank is on top.

That carb doesn't look clean enough. Check out the pics of mine in the lemon juice thread. You really need to get a carb rebuild kit from ebay (has all the gaskets/parts needed), remove every single part on your carb that can come off, and boil it again. Then re-assemble with the new parts...
