Stick with the #60340.......
Why do you say that? Less EPA/Carb restrictions = increased performance?
Stick with the #60340.......
PatThat is not a fuel pump, as the fuel hose is coming out of the tank directly to the carb. Another question, why would you need a fuel pump on a gravity fed system? That box is some kind of EPA/CARB vapor system.
OK, hit HF this after, asked a few questions.... This is what I was told....
HF catalog #60349; old design, (the original Predator 420 cc design); being phased out because the newer design more easily meets emissions. Inventory in stock has full warranty; if you buy one and have a problem, they will exchange/ replace with either this P/N or the #60340 based on store inventory.
Remember, ALL OF THE WARRANTY TERMS APPLY..
The manager really stressed the warranty rules; apparently HF is having/ has had problems with people trying to play games...
HF catalog #60340; US EPA compliant model of current design.
HF catalog #69736; California CARB compliant model of current design; may also be the off the shelf model in States that have adopted CARB standards....
Hope this helps....

I don't see how you can tell where the fuel lines go from that one picture.
I've had carbed motorcycles with fuel pumps.
But it was just a thought. Probably is some form of vapor recovery system.
BTW, I live in Fort Wayne too, maybe someday we'll meet.
