Hello Jason, You can email amsport.com and they should be able to give you a positive ID on your kart. Check'em out. Welcome to the forum.

    Does anyone have a clue?

Fabroman: Measuring from the very rear of the kart, to the seat bar (that the seat loop is tacked to) mine measures exactly 17" outside to outside, length-wise. Measuring from the very end of dog leg of the steering loop (where it tacks to the chassis rail all the way back to the tubings...

    Does anyone have a clue?

Fabroman: Let me double check just to make sure, but I'm sure I didn't. BUT....you just never know. (LOL) Right? I'll post it in the morning, how's that?

    Does anyone have a clue?

Fabroman: Here are some measurements from the Manco that I have. They are: Frame (bumper to bumper) 61", Front axle: 25 3/4", Steering Shaft: 19 3/4", Frame (at forward seat) 16 1/2", Rear Frame (from seat back to bumper) 26 1/2", Rear Frame width, 21 3/4", Rear axle to rear bumper, 8 1/4", Rear...

    Does anyone have a clue?

Hey there, thanks for all that info. Nothing like litigation to make something go away, right. Thanks for helping. I'd say mine is the same vintage.

    Does anyone have a clue?

Fabroman: Yep, I'll take some measurements latter today and post them for ya. Orange Crate: Yeah, even though Manco (now amsport) swore that it wasn't one of theirs. But it has been pretty much confirmed that it is indeed a Manco. Earlier 1980s you say? Have any more info on this kart?

    Does anyone have a clue?

I'd say that is about right...middle to latter 1980s.

    Does anyone have a clue?

Yeah, I'm not sure, but at least I know I'm wide open to doing what I want with the kart. It will be built into a solid driver and then traded or sold. But it will be saved. I don't like to see anything older trashed just because it is old, ya know?

    Does anyone have a clue?

Hey landuse, Yep! I think the documents you linked here seals the deal. My inclination was correct. It is a Manco. Thanks for the links, I appreciate it. Now I'll see if I can't get a year of production here with what you've provided.

    Does anyone have a clue?

Well, I don't know. I have the ex-pres. of the Vintage Karting Association hot on the trail of it now, so maybe he can help clear the air on this one. I hope anyway! LOL....

    Does anyone have a clue?

Ok folks, I've pretty much decided to build the kart into a driver (fun kart deal) it will be done nice and solid, and trade it for something I can race. Whatever I trade for doesn't have to be race-ready, but something I can restore and put on the track. Anyone know of anything cheap...Rupp...

    Does anyone have a clue?

Yeah I looked at the post. And it is identical. So...I'm thinking Manco. I'll have to figure out just what year the thing was produced.

    Does anyone have a clue?

Hello Fabroman, I'll be honest with ya, I think it is as well. Manco claims it isn't but I'm not sure the person knew what they were talking about. But yeah, I agree....Manco. Thing is...what year?
  16. Thom Andrews

    Does anyone have a clue?

It will be a restore. It came with aluminum racing wheels and tires, and a racing seat. (This is not a racing kart though, I am pretty sure.) I'm thinking a 70s flare type of restore with a hot setup.

    Does anyone have a clue?

Hey everybody...me again. Robron says, "No" it isn't a Rupp and I agree to that. However, Manco says that it is NOT one of their chassis' either. (I think it is.) I'm drawing a blank! So, I cut off all the non-original parts from the chassis (trust me, I could tell from the bad welding!!) and...

Yet another Kart I picked up. Anyone know what it is?

Hey there landuse. Yep, that is what I like about them as well. I'm not much on bells and whistles, all that stuff hanging on something to break, ya know? Keep it simple and clean.

    Autonomous Go Kart..

LOL...Go for it! But nothing beats driving the wheels off in person, right?
