    My440cc mini buggy build.

Yea I always wear glasses, I've got a Arc flash rated face shield, but it mounts on my hard hat.which is a little cumbersome. I went out today and bought a some ansi rated glasses that have a rubber lip seal around the outer perimeter of them,to prevent this from ever happening again. And yes...

    My440cc mini buggy build.

Hopefully it all works out, Front rear Suspension is off of a quad, wich was all aluminum. Wich why I did what I did with the front end. To keep from having to make, swing arm mounts. There arn't any Vertical frame supports in place yet. I was Trying to get the main pieces of the frame made...

    Odd ball Shock Mount? Ideas?

On the kart I am working on I am having issues determining how to position the shock for the rear swing arm. On the Kart the Engine will mount above the swing arm pivot point, wich will interfere with a normal swing arm shock that has the top end of the shock leaning towards the front of the...

    ughhh too busy

hah, that exactly what happened to me ML-toys, I had purchased a running Cannondale cannibal engine, and started building a kart frame around it, shortly after I was given a Complete cannondale cannibal, with a milked engine in it. I just this past weekend, finished it, and can give you much...

    A little humor:)

Oh man, your bringing back memories!!, I knew it was an 80's Vg from the "TURBO 3000" top plate on the engine. Man the 300zx's were fun little cars.Often reffered to as the "poor mans porsche" I owned an 84'Turbo 5Spd,and 87 NA Auto, and 87NA 5Spd,and an 88 'Turbo 5spd. They were all junker...

    At Least The Flywheel Survived!

The engine in fowlers link is a Cat 3516, Rated rpm is 1800. These engines on Generator sets, have a safety featured that shuts them down if engine rpm reaches 2124rpm, to prevent this sort of thing..... I guess the off road trucks dont have this safety feature.

    Grinding a cam at home

No,you grinding the base circle down with sand paper is not the same as buying an aftermarket cam. An aftermarket cam has been tested and manufactured to a certain spec, and will not cause valve-to-piston interference (wrecked engine pretty much.) they have machines to grind cams that will make...

    My Kart build,Pics!

Thanks man:cheers2:, It easily climb over smaller logs and stumps at crawling speeds. But man not having suspension makes for a bumpy rideat higher speeds! Also the reason we removed the cage, was for safety. We didn't want to run a cage with out a seatbelt. A rollover at a high speed, could...

    My Kart build,Pics!

The first picture is of the kart when we first acquired it. It had a clutch of no name on it, (1in shaft(GX340 engine)). The kart started and ran fine but would not move unless it was pushed, due to the high gearing. (1:6) for a torque converter we ended up settling for a GTC 1004, Tav 20 clone...

    New to the forum,saying hi!

The story from the name goes all the way back to '73, I was in south korea...... Just kidding, I came up with it off the top of my head when i was creating my account on here. I didn't want to have a generic name like "GoKaRtRiDer." haha.Figured I'd go with something a tad bit more original.
