Starting Point For Idle And Main Jets

Get a remote choke. Run a choke cable to the ”dash” or where your control panel is. All you need is a generic rigid wire choke cable, a Z bend formed on the end, a hole drilled into the end of the choke lever (about a 1/16” drill?) and some cable clamps (mount one on the blower cover or engine...

Here’s an idea, tell the teacher that you propose you all do a GK as a class project.

Ooo. I wasn’t aware they still did that (start you off with small engines). That is very applicable to karts, of course. We get gray haired men in here that know cars backwards and forwards but are somewhat mystified by the single cylinder small engine and that old fashioned, black magic, analog...

    Project Stoopid!

Blades hit something? Normal wear and tear? Poorly running engine with backfiring? Key was porous and crystalline from poor metallurgy? Loose flywheel nut? All probably a matter of time. Hey, when did Stoopid go John Deere green? 🤢🤮

Have seen the channel come up in my feed sometimes but have never watched, except maybe 1 or 2, but I have found him. I just recently (2-3 days ago) looked at his playlists matter of fact. Now that I have your and Edwin’s recommendation and that he doesn’t seem to be a “blast the parts $$$$...

    More silly downhill madness

I thought they were doing it for less wind resistance? The guy in the back often leans way over into the turns, like parallel to the ground. Maybe it’s better not to assume anything.

Anyone know what brand go kart this is?

If that is your kart @letsgousa come back sometime and tell us more about it. I just realized it is a ”sick” KPX or SPX model.

Do you mean racing aka "just driving fast" and you like the looks of the racing karts? GK = Go Kart? I wouldn’t build one (like from scratch), I would buy a used frame and ‘build’ (assemble) it into what you want it to be. Unfortunately, auto tech will focus on automobiles and the insane tech...

    Carter KPX Info

*Front* trailing arm suspension, or whatever it is. See parts 112 [click to embiggen]. If the front suspension is still together, take some photos of it as-is. Couldn’t tell from your first photos of if it was assembled or not. Never seen anything like it on a fun kart before. Anyway, carry on...

    More silly downhill madness

Sparky, that is a road. A proper two lane highway and in excellent shape for South America where you might expect much worse conditions (potholes, patches) than in North America. If it was a bike path with no guardrails and such, these guys would truly be crazy.

Good Moderate Cam Upgrade For Predator 212

Oh man, that had the beginnings of a disaster on your part. Delivered but no signature. Yeah right. Wonder if the thief (allegedly) knew what it was or was it in an unmarked box? Nevermind. Do you have the (or an) engine in your greasy hands?

In seconds, they’re off, like warp speed. Wonder what the slope of the road surface is like at the starting line. 70 MPH is insane. 😬

Looks like the axle snapped in twain and the stub is poking out in photo #1. 🤔 The exploded parts view ain’t much help. At least with Manco, there was a dotted line connecting the parts where they needed to go...

    Coleman 196 Help

The Ghost and engines of its ilk, no. Typically the tank is near the driver seat or ‘tween the legs and uses a fuel pump. No gravity there to assist. * **EDIT: but the plain Jane Rotaderp 212cc, most people use the stock tank **(at its stock location, on the block) and they keep the...

Motorcycle *engine. Make a shifter kart (or minibike). Probably makes way more sense to abandon the industrial engine and get an equivalent, staying in the theme here, Chinese made Honda knock-off (Lifan, Loncin) that will rev much higher, make more power, plus you get the built-in (unitized...

Predator 212 gov delete support mods

I think you can be fine and dandy with a stock, ungoverned engine relying on valve float to be your rev limiter, but care must be taken to not allow “physics” to bypass these safeguards. Or as Doc Sprocket said: I bolded a portion for emphasis. Otherwise, the tendency is to GAS IT and use...

Predator 212 gov delete support mods

Most of the time, the stock Predator flywheel just throws off its magnet into a low earth orbit. The magnet is not securely affixed (just epoxy?) but when it does let go, the flywheel is horribly unbalanced after that ...but luckily for us the spark is now gone and the engine is winding down at...
