    Multiple gearing with #41 sprockets

I guess I should've asked this at the beginning if anyone else has made a cassette using number 41 sprockets. I will stop in at the bike shop and ask more questions.

    Multiple gearing with #41 sprockets

Looks like something you would use to follow behind a horse in a parade and pickup crap.

    Multiple gearing with #41 sprockets

I definitely want multiple speeds. I'd guess your right that bike chains could handle a lot. The sprockets I would guess to handle less torque. #41 sprockets would make it strong enough to handle the torque of a riding mower engine. The bike tech I talked to a week ago said a bike cassette on...

    Multiple gearing with #41 sprockets

Plow the sidewalk instead of shovelling it. I think pedalling would be easier on my back than a shovel. But then if there is a lot of snow or I am in a hurry I would get out the snow blower. This pedal cart is for: 1. exercise for me, especially in the winter time when a bicycle is not feasable...

    Multiple gearing with #41 sprockets

The machine is not finished yet. I don't think that bicycle cassettes will handle the torque needed for the machine to plow snow with a blade on the front.

    Multiple gearing with #41 sprockets

This morning I draped a loose #41 chain over a 20 tooth sprocket. Next to it was a 2nd 20 tooth sprocket. I pulled on the chain and angled the sprockets and the chain easily jumped over to the other sprocket. I think it could work.

    Multiple gearing with #41 sprockets

This is also for my 4 wheel drive pedal kart project. After talking to a bike mechanic it sounds like a bike cassette (set of gears off of the rear of a multi speed bike) might not handle the torque of my pedal kart geared down really slow, and with a snow blade on the front. So the idea I have...

Bike sprocket casette on a shaft?

    Good. I printed both pages.

    4wd & 4ws pedal kart

I got a Comet F-N-R gearbox a week ago. I just got a 1" shaft that is 14" long with 1/4" keyway. Two 20 tooth sprockets are on the way. I have to buy bearings yet.

Bike sprocket casette on a shaft?

I see some for 3/4" axles. Does anyone sell one for a 1" axle?

    Comet FNR transaxle?

Comet went bankrupt and another company bought them out. The F-N-R transmissions are being made again. I got a new one 10 days ago.

    4wd & 4ws pedal kart

What are "RAGB & TC? I don't have the $$$$$ to do a shaft drive or any other version. Including Comet reverse gearbox I'm going to be spending at least another $400 on this project.

Axle shafts with built in keyway, and a disc brake?

Does anyone have any suggestions of where to buy 3/4" and 1" shafts with keyways? The shaft does not need to be hardened. Also I will need one disc brake setup that is cheap to buy and it is for my 4 wheel drive pedal cart.

Bike sprocket casette on a shaft?

Does anyone know if there is a simple way to mount a 21 speed sprocket casette onto a shaft that is either 3/4" or 1"? The casette would be removed from the hub and the hole inside of a casette is plenty big enough for a 3/4 or 1 inch shaft. The shaft it would be going on is a Comet reverse gearbox.

    4wd & 4ws pedal kart

In the 90s there were several companies making 4ws lawn tractors: MTD, sold under many of their brands like Yard Man and others. Their tractors had 4 bolt rear wheels and an axle that was f-n-r but not a really strong axle. Noma who was bought out by Murray in the mid 90s. They were sold under...

    4wd & 4ws pedal kart

Well its "pedal powered" so its not going to be going fast or have to handle much frame stress. I'm on a very limited budget and I don't have a welder so this is how I'm doing it. If something breaks, then I will fix and strengthen it. I originally was going to use a little 3 speed with reverse...

    4wd & 4ws pedal kart

January of 2012 I started building it with rear steering hubs, wheels/tires and the guts from a hydrostatic transaxle out of a Noma 4 wheel steer lawn tractor. I used gokart sprockets from Northern Tool. With a limited budget and health problems I worked on it on and off into March of 2012. I...

    530 sprocket specs?

What are the specs on a 530 sprocket? I have looked at external reverse gearboxes and have never heard of a 530 sprocket.
