I do have a jackshaft. Is there a pro/con to a 20/30/40 series? I have seen that the standard is 30, but does the symmetric/asymmetric really matter? Edit: I have an off-road cart with big tires. It has ~7 hp. The Google answers talk about heavier duty, but don't know what that is considered.

So, I found one that claims to work with Murray explorers on gopowersports. The reason I am asking about this is because someone said screwing with the ratios would be bad on a centrifugal clutch. I also am wondering if the cvt would replace the chain drive in the second pic. P.S. I’m in study hall.

I just give it some choke until it gets to temp. It does want to stall out a little when cold every so often. I never screwed with the idle after I brought it. It was used so it is how it was from the previous owner.
