    Manco Dingo Better Ground Clearance

More ground clearance or not, you are going to be MISERABLE in a ridged framed vehicle on those roads. You'd do best in a full on side by side. Just saying.

    Manco Dingo Better Ground Clearance

Just take your trip in the kart the way it is. If you get high centered on something, then get out and drag it off. All of the mods you are considering will just ruin a really nice kart.

Predator 212 on Trailmaster Mid XRS

Go kart supply shops sell an aluminum plate that lets you move the engine sideways. I have used them on two different karts. They fix the problem of the predator output shaft being shorter than original engine. I bought one from Go Power Sports, the the other one from OMB Warehouse. About $40...

    predator 212 start problem

The guy hasn't been back since an hour after his post. Might be another one of those.

    Yerf Dog 3203

Beautiful paint job. A tip before you throw that 420 in there. Either brace your motor mount between the rear of the frame and the front of the mount, or add a 3rd bearing from one side of the motor mount to the axle. I did the 3rd bearing on mine. But not until it had thrown the chain numerous...

Putting a Baja Reaction 150 together - first build

With 22s a 72 X 10 will work fine. If you already have the 18lb. springs, use them. You can get too heavy of valve springs, but up to 26lb. you are good. 32 and up ( which is for a highly modified, very high rpm ) engine, you need to install stainless steel valves. The cheesy Chinese pot metal...

    Manco Interceptor Rebuild

Great job dad. Like you said " Priceless ". Now start on one for your other daughter. Also the advice by Hellion about the starter rope, and the throttle cable are spot on.

    Dirt tracks for go karts

The closest one I found was 90 miles from my house. But I guess there's nothing wrong with dreaming.

    New kart new member

Not that you need more work to do, but if your usage is mostly off road ( and especially if a young driver ) is involved lots of stop and go, a 30 series torque converter will really work out a lot better for you.

Putting a Baja Reaction 150 together - first build

Your frame ( the kart in general ) needs quite a bit of work. But for free it's really pretty good. The list of goodies for the engine is right on. When you open it up, remove the low oil sensor and the COMPLETE governor mechanism. That's why you put in the billet rod and flywheel. 22 or 26 lb...

    Two-Wheel MEGA-thread

Hack, as I remember, Greeves dirt bikes had a very similar front end suspension. I think that was pretty advanced suspension technology 60??? years ago. Guessing at the time line. I think I was still a teenager when the Greeves were popular. Do you know what year the DKW pictured is?

Go-bowen, mega moto, mototec, ect. 79cc/ 98cc/ 48v kart parts?

Not trying to be snyde, honestly. But I'll bet you've already spent more time trying to find a new one then it would take to repair your bent one. Looks very fixable.

    Streaker Rebel S-465 FULL Restoration

That came out really nice. 40 got to feel a lot faster in something that small. Adjust your tie rods so that your front tires are pointed in just a tiny bit. From the pictures, it looks like they are toe out. It will steer a little better.

    We are not immortal.

Don't know if money is an issue (how can it not be ) but a trailer would allow you to install a roll cage. Glad to hear that you are all right. Sometimes it's a game of inches.

    Project Stoopid!

I think I would take it one farther and go for 15/50, given a 3.33 under drive ratio. The 3.2 you reference is only about 11.5% below stock. With the added weight ( I presume that the kart will weigh more than the motorcycle ) and the possibility of sometimes needing to poke along at just a few...

Those things ( trophy trucks ) are serious race machines.

    Hey everyone

Maybe I'm lazy or maybe stupid. Probably a good deal of both. WHERE do you find this stuff? 20 different hot rod or old cruiser style fiberglass bodies. That is amazing! Honestly I wouldn't want one because I feel they compromise the performance ability of the kart. But regardless, they are cool...

    Yak Grease and/or Yak Hair

The washer is the same age. I honestly don't think it's ever been worked on. When the repair guy worked on the dryer he said " if it ever breaks down again, fix it, don't buy a new one because you'll never get the same quality again. Functional Artists. Sometimes it's hard to tell where...

    Yak Grease and/or Yak Hair

Poor Yaks. The Chicons must be slaughtering them by the thousands to keep up with the cheapie Amazon belt demand. FWIW, I've got a Whirlpool dryer that's almost 30 years old. Had to have a fuse replaced about 10years ago ( by a Whirlpool dealer ) and he said, " the belt isn't really that worn...
