can some of you flathead experts let me know if they are worth or keep looking for something else. these both appear to be 5/8 shaft. trying to find a model and year number. not 100% sure if the tiller is a 5hp but it is noticibly larger than the 3 hp. 5hp?

was headed to home depot and found a couple of horizontal shaft Briggs and Stratton flat heads. one on a tiller and one on an edger. seemed to have compression. will update when i get back home. edger runs tiller runs but has a screech noise sometimes. carb is an issue won't stay running.

non hemi.

60363 is the so called hemi. I dont know the non hemi model number. I am not under the carb-cali models. but both of mine were non adjustable carbs. i can adjust idle speed and remove jet. no mixture adjustment etc. maybe someone else can say what a cali model is. I have no idea on them.

even non cali are non adjustable carbs. I have had 2 hemi 60163 both were non adjustable. I still haven't figured out what the carb ones are unless they are more restrictive etc and have a carb number.

Just use an old standby charger and new battery from any att uverse charter or similar battery backup. it tops it off unlike harborfreight trickle charger. not perfect gonna resolder wires and extend. but it will alway be ready and not overcharge.
