    Usually its rust on the pulley sheaves. But where your wear is happening it look like the belt is riding real low in the driven unit and rubbing the rivets. As the belt wears it will keep getting narrower. A new belt is the only way to fully remedy this. Make sure the spacing is correct...

    Well a few pops on the porch before it gets dark. Can't hardly go outside cause its 105°. Ill have to get more evidence to conclude but id say half of the noise went away. Perhaps a better bore fit next time. Ill call it a glass pack. Still a bit throaty but not open headers.

    A little more progress. Had to sand down a wood dowel a little to fit down the bore. The nut has a slight interference fit. Now i have a center line reference. All my parts so far....

    Glad you figured it out. I was gonna tell you that its a PAI. Leave it to the land of fruits and nuts. Push fresh air in the exhaust for the emissions test just before the test point. Lol. The engine still does what it does. I say that just cheating the test. You know what to do with it.. 86 it

    The NR Racing rod i got for my 301 had real bearings. It even had an oiling hole on the top side. Ive seen some of the new designs with a forced oil port in the dipper.

    Moving the top shock mounts rearward and making them more vertical and further back will stiffen your ride. But you knew that 😃 So what did you pay for it? I can see that being more massed produced too. Neat platform.

    Put the rear up on blocks and see if you can pin point where its coming from. Its hard for me to hear it from here. If its a new noise, check the last thing you touched.
