65 goat regear. Its got the saf-t-trac Posi rear end. Its not a mint green 62 tempest. But a close relative. A sharp eye might spot the broke spring. A dig through the spring box found a really close replacement. Game on.

I would assume lower gearing is absolutely necessary for every reason. Keeps top speed down. Add low end power while letting the engine run at a higher rpm and making closer to peak hp. I still think an overvolted power wheel would smoke a 79. 😆

Ive had 3 79cc's I've tried. Nope not even for a kid. Just not enough to move a kart. Maybe a little minibike with a little kid. But thats about all. Do the 212 and use the throttle limit screw.

Not a fair comparison for belt slippage when you just changed the gear ratio. And I'm pretty sure a bent sprocket won't affect speed.

Ive had luck with rotary belts. Denny will vouch for the comets.

Much better. Thank you for the light. This edge looks like the top of the belt is making a shelf. The inner ribbed part looks worn thin. This should be a flat bevel all the way around. The belt should be uniform thickness too. Any hourglassing is bad. In this pic you can see the uneven...
