    Plz wear a helmet

Thanks for the reply. And yes a lot of people’s responses are very similar. Guess having or building go karts is not what they consider a sociotal norm. Once I discovered kart building and learning how to weld at the same time. This became my favorite thing to do. To the point of enjoying...

Has gas less wire fed or the option to apply gas and the wand capable to do both , tig welding, and stick. One year later no problems with the correct rod. Self t thought I love it...

Because I am still at a loose. Stopped today to see if their were any marks on the pavement in the close vicinity of where I...

    Wrong place

15.5" Running at 43 mph would assume I am at 3200 to 3500 rpm( still running the same top speed with or with out the governor still tied in with the throttle. Left the governor connected, spliced into the original throttle just before the Axel. That being said maybe I need to be more...

    Wrong place

Maybe I need to be more specific in the question I post. Guess that was a very generic question. With the set up I have now I understand without changing any internal components or removing the govener. Thier might be minimal gains but I am pretty much maxed out with what I have and to be...

I got my kt196cc go-cart up to 40 mph top speed

Thanks. Wasn't easy to do that way, and risked destroying the crank. Threw the chain the first trial with the wheels off the ground. Grinded on it some more got the clutch to seat strait on the shaft. Torque converter on it now. No serious vibration no problems since.

    Looking for any help.

Look on the over head valve cover. Sometimes engines are stamped on the side of that cover, some are on the block it's self just above the oil dipstick behind the seat. Then look online. Looks like a carburator and oil change. The rest you will find out pretty quickly after you get it going.

I got my kt196cc go-cart up to 40 mph top speed

Got a grinder with a flaper disk. Started the engine and gradually milled it down checking it with the clutch or a 3/4" wrench. The keyway slot was done mostly with a grinder and cutting wheel then a drimmel tool. Had to trim the shaft, drill and tap. 4hrs total.
