    Ghost or Predator with hop-up?

You should buy one of those Lifan motorcycle engines and make a shifter kart. At least starting off they make 15-20 hp.

    Introduction

They "grew out" of the kart and stopped? This is the wrong answer--you never outgrow go karts. 😄 They were invented by grown up men to race, or just to go fast in a small footprint. All kidding aside it's a noble effort. :wai:

    Howdy

Got more photos of the frame? 1/3 is not visible. Looks like the "Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia" is nearly intact with just some mud on it. Most of these are totally faded out. Any parts come with it?

    2012 hammerhead 250

Do we have any idea what this machine is? Got to say that motor is kick-butt and/or strange. Did CF moto make it (the whole thing)?

    Ferrari 312pb scaled kart

Is the Ferrari “sold” with a buyer lined up or will you keep it as a demonstrator? I think a demonstrator is very important.

    Mounting A Jackshaft

Oddly satisfying photo. I have the same guard on my Dingo--was wondering whether to cut it off or something. I need to measure the distance from the guard to the ground and then the sprocket distance to ground. There's probably not much ground clearance to be gained by cutting it off

Wow, lucky guy having such a "spoiled" childhood. Do you ride loud and proud? :welcome2::wai::welcome2::wai:

    Mounting A Jackshaft

I figure if you use the stand off studs, you preserve the kart's versatility according to what drive system you want. Unbolt the jackshaft and you can use a chain + centrifugal clutch and turn it into an American Express or the clone of a Rupp Dart Kart or Clark Cyclops, etc. The only real...

    Hello, New here from Arkansas

I looked at the FB ad for the frame. That would be a hard pass for me at that price or any price. The solid steel floor front to rear definitely looks “custom” but undesired. Ultimately it‘s up to you and your desires. Failbook Marketplace (the only real reason to have an account) seems to be...

    Hi from Arkansas

No way, everyone that works spends more than half their time phone-gazing. 😂 Kudos to you sir, I bet your productivity is amazing.

My favorite John Deere is the Gator “go kart”. Had use of one for a spell. Believe it was the 6x4 version

Hello, new to karts and current project (Manco 3005B-09)

One may confuse rudeness with bluntness. The screaming of Comet in all caps is just a running joke. Denny is the pavlovian dog where that is concerned and it’s still hilarious. They really are a better belt though. Or was it something or someone else?

    Mounting A Jackshaft

I though the jackshaft might slide over the base mount. The old but good black and gold Dingo did indeed use spacers, a fancy “stud” (per the manual) with a hex center. Last page, part reference 23, part number 1356. I bet it might show up on the interwebz...

Or you could run it as-is, look at all that “patina”. Add a little car wax or polish to the paint. :welcome2:

    Manco 906C missing part help

That bearing is THE universal go kart bearing oddly enough, better stock up. I used to buy them by the dozen/half dozen at what some vendors charge for one.

    Manco 906C missing part help

My mistake, the reference number is 19 but the part number is the same. Thought I was looking at a jackshaft bearing or something that really mattered. It’s a bearing for the swingarm. 😏

    Hello, New here from Arkansas

A build means different things to different people. You could drag home a rusty derelict frame that has no wheels, engine, steering wheel or seat and call it a build when you make it complete, run and roll again. Or you could start with nothing but steel tubing and weld something together either...
