Need parts for kartco kart 675

🥀🪦 Dead thread. I believe that is a Carter Brothers go kart but there sure are some crazy similarities between Kartco and Carter Brothers, enough to assume they were made in the same factory or something.... I submit that it is most likely a Carter Brothers 2515 Super Wheels. The telltale...

    Help identifying clark kart

Horribly late here x2 but THANKS for the kart info @bumhaggard, you one-post-wonder. We have the name to go with the kart number. One of these days I'm going to hold-up :2guns:JimD and steal all his classic kart brochures and scan them.

    Project Stoopid!

Reminds me of The Munsters episode where Herman is trying to buy a car for Marilyn and he's looking at a Beetle... Fair Deal Dan: Hey, friend. Herman: Just checking the carburetor. Fair Deal Dan: Then you'll be interested in this end, over here. [Herman exclaiming] The owner must've been a...

    Quick Bits

That’s wild in the sense that you’ve had the build planned all this time too. Idk, I procrastinate but at the same time I am sometimes mindful enough to buy parts for future projects… that may never get started  But you’re right, it is hilarious and I laugh with you 😂

    Dark mode

I got the blue/orange round logo if that's what you mean. For computer users there’s a *bonus* DIY GO KARTS in all caps across the width of the page or at the very top. It's wildly different in regular mode and dark mode at this point in time. And the go kart guy comes and goes. 😐

Streaker (unknown) Help to Refresh - Quality Parts List

Your kart may not have had axle spacers but I think they are a good idea, critical even, for long term bearing life. They're actually bearing spacers and are extremely important to take the side load off your bearings...

    Throttle cable

Thanks for sharing the issue. We have electric kart folks on the forum but they are probably absent because of the holiday festivities. Anyway, it helped me to understand this new-to-me electrical/mechanical throttle.

The large DIY GO KARTS at the very top is over-scale now and running off the page or chopped off top and bottom, at least on my computer. The go kart dude and his kart is over-scale too. It's a little better on iPad and that's as small a screen as I will go. Will check on hellphone later.

Streaker (unknown) Help to Refresh - Quality Parts List

*It is up to you to source the parts, for the most part there are no parts packages. You buy the parts as needed, not all at once in a package (only carburetor kits are like that), much like in the automotive world. Show us the wallowed out wheel hub. We like pics here, saves typing.

Streaker (unknown) Help to Refresh - Quality Parts List

It is likely that the bearings from Ace Hardware were light duty ”cart” bearings intended for dollies, hand trucks, little garden wagons and the like. You NEED the sealed precision bearings. They are somewhat generic and fit many applications but will usually have “precision” in the name. Show...

    Dark mode

Unfortunately, the new Dark Mode makes the messages tally, reactions received and location (if enabled) invisible under our names. I am sure that can be tweaked. EDIT: at least it is for me. What do y'all see? 👀

    Engine starter conversion...

I think you should add a 206 recoil starter or whichever one will fit, just to test the theory. 😎 I suspect it is timing and the cam that may be installed in your engine that makes it difficult to pull the engine through a complete cycle, i.e. "impossible" to start. There are engines that have...

    Hard to pull/crank predator 420

Could be valve lash and you need to verify that it is correct ;). The only time I have ever had a starting issue of the kind you describe was with a large bore OHV engine that sees a lot of use (riding lawnmower). Had trouble starting the old girl and it turns out the valve lash was way wide or...

    Throttle cable

So it is like a cable-operated electronic speed control (ESC)? Neat. The cable aft of the pulley is just electronic wiring then, that explains why it is wavy and loose(?). Technically speaking, the cable conduit at the portion in front of the pulley thing needs to be anchored down so that the...

    Throttle cable

Interesting throttle reel, why are you using it in lieu of a straight cable to the rear/to the engine? What is powering the kart right now? To answer your question, I would have it bolted down or screwed to the floorpan just on principle. Double sided tape doesn't belong on a kart unless it is...

    Fox Kart ID?

*For the thread lurkers The OP was having a problem because he could not find a manual or parts breakdown for his exact 285-281 model and it probably doesn't exist in cyberspace. I think it is safe to say the manual listings that are available around the web are incomplete. I think Manco went...

    Engine starter conversion...

Someone wise once said: "You're not starting an Animal with a pull starter." You might retrofit the starter from a Briggs 206 or "LO206" as they are called but that statement above has some weight. https://www.briggsracing.com/racing-engines/206 The Briggs 206 & the Animal are both 206cc; one...

    Engine starter conversion...

Technically speaking the starter cup (on the flywheel) and recoil starter from a 5-6hp Intek engine should work as the engines themselves are essentially interchangeable. That’s what I’ve heard for many years but I’d double check…. WTR is right about the pics though, he got you there. 💥
