Hi does anybody know if i could put an alternator on my side shaft 200cc briggs and stratton engine to charge a 12v 14 amp motor cycle battery it is for my two LED flood lights on my manco dingo 285 Any help much appreciated cheers :thumbsup:

battery Just charge the 12v motorbike battery every so often thats all

lights I know the mancos look quiet good with lights on them and i tried them at night and they are really bright. Its morely just for the winter seasson when it gets dark about 4.00pm so they will come in handy for that i would reccomend that you get lights for your buggy really really handy...

speed?? I see in your video one of your hands is at the engine where you manually increasing the throttle to full revs because my cart only gets to a quarter of the revs it should because it is restricted i wouldnt reccomend what you are doing as you are by passing the restricter and you are in...

sorry kendelrk i didnt see your post at the top there appoligies for that they LED lights are both wired up to a 12v motorbike battery which sits under the steering bar i take the battery off when i am not using my lights as it is extra weight that isnt needed. They are great in the dark they...

Thinks its a manco Hi mate i am pretty certain that it is a a manco dingo 285 as that is what i have they only difference with mine is that it doesnt have the roof on it and it has got bigger front wheels but it is definetely a Manco positive it is and i am pretty sure its a 285 check google...

Hi mate yes that is a torque converter under the cover got that already installed with the cart. As for the hammerite i have gave it a thin first coat and a thick second coat so we will just have to wait and see how it holds but in this moment in time it seems to be holding fine. manco dingo Hi mate thankyou for the reply i payed £240.00 for the go kart. And i used hammerite to paint the metal work which has took a good hold. Thankyou for your suggestion for the red wheels i will be painting them red when i have time i will post another picture with the final project...

I bought my manco about 2 weeks ago now and this is what it looked like.. Same picture from a different angle.. Notice that there is two LED flood lights on the top and of course the fresh paint job.. Enjoy the pictures....
