    Picked a mini bike

It wasn't my doing haha. From the looks of things, some stuff has been modified. Different engine, some welding took place, the engine is shot.

    Picked a mini bike

Anyone know who made it? It has midnight express on it but I can't find anything else.

    New chain

I got a new chain from GoPowerSports. I was curious, does anyone clean and lubricate it right out of the bag, or just slap it on the go kart? I noticed it has a light film which I assume is to keep it from rusting

    New Shocks

I'm looking to get new shocks for my Yerf-Dog 3202, the stock shocks are 12" eye to eye. I don't think that it will be much suspension with a 225lb guy sitting in it. I was looking to see what people have tried and what works. Shocks for front and rear

    New axle kit

Be a pain to work with all the washers but it'll work. ---------- Post added at 08:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:30 PM ---------- It does come with a lock collar, that's what I was thinking originally is to do as you described. Figured I'd ask and made sure I was thinking right.

    New axle kit

Then why does GoPowerSports have an option for those wheels to go with that axle? So I'll have to get a new set of wheels and tires. Terribly inconvenient

    New axle kit

Got a new axle kit from GoPowerSports, everything installed fine, save for the wheels. It's a 1" axle, the bore on the wheels is 1", has a locking collar to keep the wheels from sliding in. My question is, how far from the outside of the axle do you install the locking collar?

    Need ID on go kart

Awesome. I did some research on their website, I believe it's a 3202. I'm missing the roll cage is all. Well, I have parts of the roll cage

    Need ID on go kart

Hey folks, picked up a go kart this morning. Co-worker mentioned it and I asked if I could come look at it. It's in a little rough shape but a good frame, nonetheless. It had a roll cage but the cage has been broken off. I can't find an ID tag anywhere, it has a Tecumseh Power Sport 6hp...

    Engine with transmission.

That's what I was thinking, I want to modify an electric golf cart to an engine powered one. But it's been sitting outside for probably a decade

    Engine with transmission.

    That ain't much fun though

    Engine with transmission.

Anyone know where to find a 200-400cc engine with a transmission? The only thing I can think of is find a wrecked four wheeler or something. I'd like to have a transmission with reverse, I have plans to build a shifter cart and a few other projects

    Sizing

I'm going to beat the **** out of it. 16 gauge is a little thin, I can weld but I'm sure I'll be blowing holes through the tubing. I'll consider going a light gauge maybe to 14.

    Sizing

Sounds like you got it figured out. I plan on driving it everywhere I go so I don't worry about putting it in a pickup. I'll be using 1" square tubing, 11 gauge which if I recall is about 1/8" thick. Be adding gussets in all corners to give it strength but keep the weight down. I haven't...

    Sizing

I don't have any hills to climb where I'm at, I live in the country a bit, just have dirt roads. On the rear tires, yeah I'll be beefing it up a bit or may just make the width 36". Yeah got a sketch, let me see if I can get it uploaded

Go right ahead, I haven't done anything recently

    Sizing

Hey folks, I'm working on building a go kart from scratch, making as many parts as I can. Anyhow, I was thinking of the size of the go kart, it will be an offroad go kart, one seater. Right now, my design is 32"x98" (WxL); axle is going to be 54". Nothing is built, I'm just laying it out on...

Build my own or buy one

Would 11 gauge square tubing be too thick for a go kart build? Or should I go with 12 or 14 gauge?

Build my own or buy one

Have a question, I started designing a go kart. Anybody know what's the relativity in W to L of the go kart? It's going to be an offroad go kart and have front and rear suspension, right now I have the engine bay 32"x30" and the front frame 56" then an additional 10" for the front suspension...
