i rode it in stock form this morning with the clone and a 13-72 ratio and it does quite well. tops out at about 16-18 but when turning the sprocket and chain hit the ground which is why i was looking for taller tires.

reminds me of the old trail bikes. wish i still had my old 80 wheels and tires. they would be perfect height. cant deicde what height i want

i looked around for a while and i can only get 1 inch bigger tires for the 5" wheels. and getting new, larger wheels and some bigger tires will blow the cost way up. ill see what other tires i can find used locally. the front dirtbike tire looks good on the fork but the rear is kinda funny...

picked up this bike with a 3.5 horse yellow cover briggs flathead for $20 going with a brand new predator 212 insteadof the little old briggs. leaving it 100% stock for reliability and low noise. (this thing is amazingly quiet) and the price i couldnt beat. straight trade for the tired...

my advice, corner balance it with you in it. my weight was off left to right and i had barely any right turning and shredded 3 left front tires and had little to no wear on the right front. Simple bathroom scales will do the trick

what i tell everyone that starts welding is to get it as hot as possible before the metal burns away then adjust wire speed so there is a little weld pool build up between 1/16" and 1/8" in height off of the surface.

IFF you can even get it to move. all that weight up front on something that doesnt have much weight to it to begin with. i think you'll be doing a lot of tire spinning and very little movement.
