    Yamaha kt-100

Looks really good for $150, just needs a little cleanup like you said, but I see it has a little bodywork, if you ever wanted to mount newer bodywork, margay has this cool conversion nerf bar kit. http://www.margay.com/shopmargay/Nerf-Bar-Mount-Tube-Kit.html

Hey guys, i've hired a welder to build my frame

Are you using metal tubes, or are you using metal bars? And what type of material are you using, because if you're looking to make something similar to a race kart, just letting you know that that specific metal is chromoly. Here are some plans I have found for you if you need them.

    I can get for $400

I think that's a 2 stroke motor mount, not sure. But it looks like it might be original to the kart. I also don't think it's not going to fit the 4 cycle engine.

    I can get for $400

Ask him how much he wants without the motor, buy a motor mount and buy a kt100, or cr125. The kt100 is a single gear and would be cheaper, but also isn't nearly as fast as the cr125.

    I can get for $400

Get it ASAP, the front brakes are probably worth more than you are going to pay, that's a great deal.

    racing kart

It looks like a straight railed trick kart from the 90's, if you end up buying the kart, you should find the serial and check with the Trick Olympic. If I were you, I would restore it and have some fun with it if I were you, but thats just my advice.

    where to start......

Congrats on making a kart. There are two types of racing kart frames, Sprint (Sprint and/or Shifter) and Offset (Oval karts). The frame that you are probably looking for is a sprint kart, and you can probably find one on Craigslist by searching "kart" in the search bar. Btw, are you planning...

    Yamaha kt-100

I would take the trip if he took $300, but the trick is to wait, don't wait too long or the kart will be gone, but wait enough so that he lowers the price slightly.

    Coyote Widetrack Sprint Kart Build

So I sent them the pictures and details, and... got nothing, but I know it's in fact a coyote because the spindles are bolted to the chassis vs welded. Anyway, I was thinking that idea of hammering a regular nerf bar and drilling a hole isn't a bad idea. If anyone has nerf bars for a sprint...

    Coyote Widetrack Sprint Kart Build

Thanks bshinn, I have checked out the site, but I don't know how to order parts lol, is there a specific way to order if I don't have a coyote dealer near me? And I am looking to buy this body on a budget, so if there is another way, that would be great.

    Coyote Widetrack Sprint Kart Build

Lol, good idea, but what would be the cheapest way to obtain new nerf bars and bodywork? I think it's 2004 - 2006 Coyote Widetrack LE, it's been painted over before, so I'm going to remove the paint and see if there are any serial numbers that are noticeable, then I'll repaint it.

    Coyote Widetrack Sprint Kart Build

Thanks for the info, I'm planning to build the sprint kart (The one on the left). The problem with the coyote karts is that the rear part of mounting the nerf bar is tubular, like normal, but the front of the nerf bar connects to the chassis by bolting a flat part to the chassis. So that is...

    Coyote Widetrack Sprint Kart Build

Thanks, I appreciate that, if anyone has information about the body, please leave that info as well. I'll post pictures once I get time to paint it

    Coyote Widetrack Sprint Kart Build

So I didn't hear back since I contacted Coyote motorsports, so does anybody know any information about which sprint/shifter kart bodies would fit on the Widetrack LE nerf bars? if not mount on, what nerf bars would I have to buy? And what would be the best gear ratio for fast acceleration...

    Coyote Widetrack Sprint Kart Build

Thanks for the info, and yes I plan to race in the future, but the closest race track is Summit Point and I don't really know about the classes. I will definitely mod the engine soon, very useful information, I could probably try to fabricate something, lol :stir:. The kart came with that...

    Coyote Widetrack Sprint Kart Build

So I picked up a complete Coyote Wide Track LE rolling chassis :auto:, and a 6.5 hp predator 212cc engine. I have already disassembled the chassis to strip the paint off and repaint it. Also, what body and nerf bars would I need to make a sprint chassis, what are some mods for the predator...
