i just build as i go, i started with building the square tube base, then i built one side off the kart, and then i "copied" that side/measurements and built the other side. when every tube was tack-welded in place i took diagonal measurements to make sure everything is straight! diagonal...

i got almost the same engine as you, but i have 150 cc! shifter kart is great for quick accelerations! i´m currently building my kart from scratch as you are, and i have also an adjustable seat mechanism built from scratch! the differnse is that my kart is an offroad kart. i would suggest...

I really like your design! but i think that engine is way to small for that kart your building! in the end you just want it to go faster, when it surtanly can handle much more speed! is it going to be two-seated?

i boght some new tires, and now it grips much better! but unfortunatly my front tires doesn´t grip as much as before! couse i have better grip at the rear end, and no differntial i must test several settups to get it just right :thumbsup: some pics, vid is coming soon...

i realized that i could switch tires from my homemade minibike with the front tires on the kart, now I´ll get more traction up front, and the kart just looks better, and the brakes are working really good now also! i will expand my race track and maybe ad some jumps to it! and i think i´ll put...

I like your sketches! google sketchup is the ****, right !... aluminim chassis is pretty rare for a kart, i´d love to see the finished product and how it handels around the race track, and do mention how much it weighs at the end of the build!

yup, i have never really worked with new material, i´m used to working with rusty material, because thats what i have in stock!:thumbsup: yes i knew there was a greasy coating on new material, i should have said that it´s easier to clen new compared to rysty material. And maybe rushing is not...
