well I think I figured out why the idle was so high after I hit that big rut. I think it moved the governor arm just a little at the base. so that's an easy fix. so now I just need to go buy that axleaxle and then I'm looking at buying the intake and exhaust kit from affordablegokarts.com to get...
Well fix one thing break two? Ha ha i think i may have fixed the clutch with the lube and a shroud.but after some fun i hit a big rut and bent my axle lol.so now I will get a chromoly axle. Also when i got done riding the engine wouldn't quite idle.it stayed just high enough to try to engage the...
I will let you know how the lube does. If anyone has a 40 driver COMET let me know! :) haha Thanks for your replies. Yall let me know if you have any other thoughts!
Will do sir! Mine has never had any lubrication since i bought it, and its done this the whole time so maybe on this newer style the lube is more critical to quality.
should i bother trying to make a shield for it to block out dirt? I dont see anyone with 40 series doing this. So i will get some liquid wrench dry lube and clean everything out and then see how it works. if the lube doesnt fix it, it must be either alignment or a defective product.
The only lube i used ever was a little tube of fine graphite powder i use for reloading bullits. that may be totally different being as i had to just rub it around with my finger and it didnt seem like it stuck. So i should spring for the comet lube? i was wondering but some have said on here...

Hahahah yes, yes that sounds like a pretty good idea! It honestly doesnt look dirty or anything, i could show for general visual and alignment purposes :) but i will when i get off. Have yall had any experience with these slightly different driver clutches and their possible shortcomings?
Hey guys! I have had some time to work out some small kinks with the buggy, My clone comet 40 driver (the one with the three seperate weights) has been sticking after only like 30 minutes of riding. I have to tap it with a hammer to get it to release, but then it doesnt operate normally. Im...
that seems reasonable. around here we could go to a tractor supply or hardware store, i used golf car and atv tires so mine were a little different to source.
yes he did. he had a huge grin the whole time haha. he even hopped the curb with it. i took it out last weekend. that thing FLIES in the woods/ field. its amazing how something that feels so-so on the street seems like a terror off road haha. you get tunnel vision at top speed. Thank you guys...
