    Free Manco? Heck yes!!

I may change both to rear facing arms. Not a big deal. Just need to get after it one day. I have a few other projects that take priority. But I'm itching to get these rolling.

    Free Manco? Heck yes!!

I think I will be cutting off the top tubes and cleaning up all the welds on it. Then i will have to do something about the steering. It's worse than my other cart. They are both identical set ups so i may knock them both out at one time. Then I plan on putting the kids on them and have them...

    Free Manco? Heck yes!!

I shot some starter fluid in the carb and it started right up. So off came the carb and i placed an order for carb kit, spark plug and air cleaner. I've got plenty of other stuff to do while I wait for the parts.

    Free Manco? Heck yes!!

Thanks POBOY. It wont start right now. So i'll be taking the tank and carb apart for good cleaning. Should do the trick. My buddy said it was running last time he rode it. But doesn't remember how long it;s been. :mad2:

    Free Manco? Heck yes!!

I asked around to all my friends to see if I could find another go kart for the kids. After a couple of weeks, this popped up in my garage!!!! Not sure which Manco it is. But my son and I will be tearing into this dirty thing in the morning. I'm sure someone will be able to recognize which...

Thanks Eddie. I ended up buying a different one. Look at my other post "the process begins". Chime in with any info you may have. Thanks.

    The process begins.

I think I'm gonna do the rebuild and have the arms in the front. Steering is sloppy right now. So I wanna give it a shot. :-)

    The process begins.

Are you saying to put the steering arms behind the spindle rather than in front? I read the Steering sticky and then went and looked at the kart and said, "dang, I've got a lot of work to do on this" :mad2: I may just cut off the front end and redo it it. The passenger side knuckle was bent...

    The process begins.

The guy was asking $320 for the Kart. But it took him forever to coordinate with me and canceled on me a couple of times. And then when I showed up to his house he was asleep and came out like 15 minutes later. So i offered him $200 cause I was a little bothered. To my surprise he said yes and I...

    The process begins.

Just picked up this Kart today. Not much to look at yet, but I wanted to put something pics up so you guys can guide me along the way. No major plans yet. I basically want to get it to run reliable and safely. It runs and drives now, but it won't stop. So my first project will be a brake. it...

Thanks for the replies. I'll go check that one out this weekend hopefully. Fabroman, I get what you are saying about over-engineering this thing. I find myself doing that in my head already. DOH!!! :mad2:

Just wanted to give a little info about what I'd like to do here. I am a father of five kids(two are step kids), three of which are boys that are addicted to video games. UGH!! SO I started lurking and researching on the web about go karts and stumbled upon this place. Seems like a good little...

    Craigslist find.

Coming from a Rock crawling/off road background, I totally understand what you mean. I see them more as a device to keep the kart off the individual inside.

    Craigslist find.

Thanks for all the input. I was thinking we would use it more on the street and in parking lots. But there sure are a lot of open areas around here. Maybe I should be thinking more along the lines of something taller like you guys mentioned. I did find a Manco Dominator that someone is selling...
