I asked around to all my friends to see if I could find another go kart for the kids. After a couple of weeks, this popped up in my garage!!!!

Not sure which Manco it is. But my son and I will be tearing into this dirty thing in the morning.

I'm sure someone will be able to recognize which model it is under all that dirt and the added roll bar.

Thanks POBOY. It wont start right now. So i'll be taking the tank and carb apart for good cleaning. Should do the trick. My buddy said it was running last time he rode it. But doesn't remember how long it;s been. :mad2:

Shoot a little gas or carb cleaner in the intake when you get the carb off and see if it runs. That way you don't waste any time putting it back together. I would actually try it before removing the carb.

I shot some starter fluid in the carb and it started right up. So off came the carb and i placed an order for carb kit, spark plug and air cleaner. I've got plenty of other stuff to do while I wait for the parts.

I think I will be cutting off the top tubes and cleaning up all the welds on it. Then i will have to do something about the steering. It's worse than my other cart. They are both identical set ups so i may knock them both out at one time. Then I plan on putting the kids on them and have them break more stuff for us to fix. :)

Have fun with that... It's not easy to incorporate ackermann into forward facing steering arm setups; I still think a crossover pitman arm is the easiest way but is difficult to calculate...

I may change both to rear facing arms. Not a big deal. Just need to get after it one day. I have a few other projects that take priority. But I'm itching to get these rolling.
