Randy H that’s what I thinking that tapered piece was holding it. So use pusher bolts to remove it? How exactly do I do that?

JT I already did that, just stuck it back in there so I wouldn’t lose it. And I want it to go the other direction correct? Off the axle not on, towards the threaded part? Unless I’m missing something you are saying.

So I recently acquired a Rupp wide hoop kart. I’m in the process of tearing it down so I can do a complete restore but I’m having trouble removing the brake. Is there a secret to this? What do I have to do to get it off the sxle? Thanks in advance!

Bought this Rupp kart tonight. Planning on a complete restoration on it this winter. Would very much like to know the model and approximate year. Thanks in advance!

Correct. I'm a rookie. However I'm hanging with a buddy that has been doing this for 30 years so I plan on utilizing his knowledge. I'm just out to have fun and learn a few things. That being said, it would be nice to at least be competitive. I'll keep you posted as to how it goes.

Removed the governor. Installed top plate, fuel pump, header, chain guard, billet flywheel, Mycron 4 tach.

We'll know soon enough. Getting it scaled out next week and the season starts here next month.

Thought I would post a progress pic. Got the body on it. New wheels and tires (Burris 33's). New fuel tank but not hooked up yet. Still need a header and top plate.

Trying to get it ready. Installed the floor, cotter pins everywhere, basic clean up. Still have to install the chain guard and a few other things.
