Sry.
To get up to date.
I ended up mounting the "spiderbox" (I believe its called) from the org. pic's to the front end of a small 2 seater kart w/ no susp. I saved from the neighbors trash for free.Moved the steering to the center & strenghtened it up a bit where they mated with a couple...
Just an update. Kart has been up & running great for a while now. Everyone is enjoying it. I think ill build a diff. front end for it next. The kart parts I used
d doesn't seem to like the abuse or high speeds very much. And a rollcage wouldn't hurt also
I agree w/that, New mx eng.s make more power than old ones. They are still the "little" dirtbike in the lineup.
My friends r eng. Is air cooled & nothing "fancy". Their kart is heavier than mine & could use a better sized rear sprocket. The shame of it all is that the perfectly good m/c they...
Oh really??!! That would be awesome! That's what I was looking for.
I had read what you guys said about running the 18lbs springs. That's why O asked Mr racing about them. If I can hit 5,000 .+ without them.......why bother. Save me some work & grief_
Hey, do you know if any honda g x 240 will...
Btw I wish I could get ahold of snowmobile parts in FL. I free up in the north & its funny as heck trying to explain a snowmobile to a southerner. No chance, no way of getting sled parts here.
As for the pred. being great, we'll see. It came from harbor freight & they have screwed me b4 in the past so we'll see. $90 was just a little to tempting to pass up. But than again, so was the last deal they got me on.
As for small kids.......your such a sweet person! That's the best thing...
Ouch! Lol
I ordered from nr racing. Talked to them b4 l ordered too. They told me the rodshould be just fine but to replace the flywheel with a Honda or an aluminum flywheel. Of which I already have a Honda flywheel so I figured I was good 2 go. No big deal if I don't run the valves springs...
OK, I have the build figured out. Well mostley.
I bought a 6.5 predator for $90plus 6.99s/h.
I pieced together a a comtec torque convertor.
I cut the center out of the buggy (retained the rear shocks) in the pic. & welded it to the front of a two seater I picked up for $20. The whole thing is...
It's 1" & Im pretty sure 1/4" keystock.
I was thinking of getting a blank 35 sprocket & drilling out the bolt pattern on the drill press to match my holder. I will have to be careful to get it right tho. The 530 sprocket that's on it is 4 bolt & the same bolt spacing as the yerf dog bolt...
I came across another kart for free. It needs some work also. I'm combining the the two & building "Frankinkart". -Built from the parts of other dead go karts.
Not sure yet but I have an axle with a 530 sprocket. The sprocket holder doesn't match up to a kart sprocket & the shaft is larger than 1". Just looking for options.
