Found a way around the short gas pedal! https://www.ebay.com/itm/174239998632 A little bit of a hassle bc the set screw is an odd size and tiny. Allows full pedal though so no issues with weird touchy peddle. Put your toenails in it and go. Very cheap mod for a handy fix

That's basically a poem BW! It's not expensive to drain oil and carb. Maybe your fuel shut off didn't do its job and flooded your engine. Put a little sea foam in the oil and let it idle for 5 minutes or so. Maybe that will free things up if something is stuck.

I didn't notice any adjustment on that but I'll check it closer.

So do you have a pedal stop to avoid torquing the throttle plate assembly? My concern was someone getting on it and putting their toenails through the floor and bending the throttle assembly or breaking the cable. I can weld or bolt a pedal stop onto it to limit pedal travel.

I hooked up the throttle cable to the pedal rod bracket and it operates the throttle to wot and returns to idle but the pedal only travels about 1" to go from idle to wot. Doesn't seem right. Any ideas from you guys with explorers? Pedal and rod assembly appears factory per the diagram. Return...

The parts arrived today to complete the jackshaft rehab. Also got the tc, new sprocket, axle bearings/lock collars and chain. Waiting on rear tires and a rear wheel and we'll be ready to break something!

Man I'm glad I got it fixed too. It was the gasket between the carb and the intake adapter. ��. It's a shame too because I used up all my cuss words trying to figure it out! Lol.

I swapped the carb and while doing that I realized I had a gasket wrong. Issue is fixed.

Thanks for the reply. What do you think is the issue? Engine didn't have this issue prior to changing the jet, exhaust and air intake. I'd hate to mount it to kart only to find out it's bad or needs repair. I replaced the fuel line with new 3/16 id making sure it was short enough to not have a kink

It's missing the front wheels, gas pedal and whatever seat structure there's was but everything else is there and straight.

I went and picked it up today. It's a Manco 204B-18 Dr Pepper Lil Critter.
