Hmm. I dont have any throttle adjustments other than the stop that I made on my Explorer. Otherwise the throttle bracket on the motor would be the stopping point

Quick update on the rebuild. She lives!! I'm waiting on the correct caliper to get the brakes going but it runs well. I had a problem with fuel supply for a little bit, cutting out at wot, but a bunch of kids rode the **** out of it over the holiday weekend and problem disappeared. A couple things I plan to change. 1. The stock throttle mech on a predator is janky. Has terrible feel unless your on flat ground. Not a good setup for a rigid "off-road" kart. 2. I tried to get more topend by using a 12t jackshaft sprocket. I believe that a 10t would keep rpms higher and give the clutch a little breathing room. Other than some minor tweaks it seems to be an awfully fun project for my son and I. He and his friends love it! Thank y'all all for the help and I'm sure I'll have new questions when we start the Dr Pepper Lil Critter rehab.
Found a way around the short gas pedal! https://www.ebay.com/itm/174239998632 A little bit of a hassle bc the set screw is an odd size and tiny. Allows full pedal though so no issues with weird touchy peddle. Put your toenails in it and go. Very cheap mod for a handy fix
