    Shovelhead Trike/Go Kart Axle

The neck will be raked, the forks are just laid there. I wanted to measure the overall length because I found a small trailer to haul it with.

Some progress: Custom sprocket from Rebel Gears. There will be an aluminum housing for grease. I will try the John Deere stuff. You can see the tabs for the left side brake caliper. Will have quite a bit of rake. Not sure how much trail is a factor in trikes. If it don't work, I'll cut it off...

    Shovelhead Trike/Go Kart Axle

I am planning to mount the jack shaft on slotted holes for adjustment and use a serpentine belt tensioner on the final drive chain. Some HDs had a nylon "slipper" for primary chain tension so I'm thinking it will be O.K. If not I'll go back with a spring loaded sprocket tensioner. I have seen...

    4x110MM 1" Bore Hubs?

I didn't get any of the other stuff. This will just be a simple rigid axle. No room under the 'glass shell for anything else. Just a bar hopper not a freeway flyer.

    4x110MM 1" Bore Hubs?

Yes for the lube. Did you get the idea for the chain diff from the dude in England?

I will have brakes on both sides, I just didn't have the other mocked up. The RZRs weigh over 1000 lbs, so I'm hoping the dual discs will be enough. It will not be IRS as such, no springs, and thanks for the tip on the John Deere grease.

I will definitely do that. I am looking at how I will do the jackshaft now, looks like it will be no problem.

6 idiots trying to build carts to race

“6 idiots trying to build carts to race”? Sounds completely reasonable to me. I think you have already found the right place. Just start going through the threads here. If you have specific questions just ask. The guys here are cool and willing to help you!

    4x110MM 1" Bore Hubs?

Not a posi. I’m on a real tight budget but I can always upgrade later if it smokes that foot wide sticky tire.

    Shovelhead Trike/Go Kart Axle

Started mocking up my differential. This is a Mazda diff with Polaris RZR brakes. Early mockup in rear frame: Diff with bearings and modified frame mounting plates. Looks kinda like a fish, huh? I had to cut and bend the top tubes of the rear hardtail frame section so the fiberglass body...

    4x110MM 1" Bore Hubs?

What brakes did you use? Mine are the Polaris RZR, new discs and calipers for $45, can't beat that!

    4x110MM 1" Bore Hubs?

Yes it is, and I plan to do the same thing, but I'll probably use aluminum pipe.

    4x110MM 1" Bore Hubs?

Those hubs were just what I needed. Had to enlarge the holes a tiny bit. I have the whole assembly mocked up in plywood. Need to tweak my CAD drawings a bit then get my parts cut by the waterjet. last picture was an early mock-up in the frame
