i agree if the belt gets wet it may slip, where as a chain can be muddy and wet and still keep on spinnin .

sprockets and chains for a drive system is usually cheaper then a belt drive/torque converter setup, but belt drive has its advantages over chain drive.

I have a 212 predator as well. im running a 1&5/16 diameter dual header with no mufflers, sounds like a harley comeing down the track.

if i halft to move the motor its no biggy i have all the neccessary tools to do that. and the motor sounds like a harley with the dual header pipe, im going to make a dual exauhst setup for it once i have some money for RLV mufflers and a tubeing kit. the kart did 47 mph when i test drove it...
