What all can be done to make a stock predator more powerful? Will just rejetting help any? What is stock jet size and what could I get away with. Governer is completely removed. Predator 212cc

Re-jetting without a reason to will not do you any good. Only if you're running on the lean side, will you get any benefit.

Start with an open header (straight pipe) and a high-flow air filter, and then do a plug read. At that point, things should flow better, creating a need for a richer jet.

I run a class that it has to appear stock. Can't do much on inside either. Technically can't do anything. But I have seen karts running the same "stock" motor I have at least 5700 rpms. No way a stock 212 could handle that. They do let us run the weenie pipes.

5700 on a stocker, gov removed- ehh. Maybe. depends on when the stock valve springs begin to allow valve flutter.

I suppose it's possible, even more so with upgraded valve springs. But I wouldn't do that with a stock rod and flywheel.

The motor is sealed so unless ther is a way to remove the seals idk how it would be possible to change the valve springs to make them heavier. I'm missing something here and my competitive nature is gettin me frustrated with it haha. Being that I have a header would the jet change still be pointless with out getting more air to the motor by keeping the stock filter setup

If I'm not mistaken, "sealed" in this case means that the fasteners have been marked, wired, or tagged to indicate if they have been removed.

Yeah but just figured something out. The carb has a hole drilled in the side for the wire to pass thru and it runs to one of the valve cover bolts that's also drilled and connected so neither can be turned. So back to my lol discovery take the filter and filter house off the studs that run thru the carb can be backed out. Ill leave it at tht. So that opens up a lil tweaking

Lol it's safety wired with a crimped aluminum seal that makes a stamp specifically for the track. So these can't be broken. I can get te carb off and the valve cover off without breaking seals

As far as Rpm's go I have a stock pred with only governor removed. It will spin 5750 on a straight stretch of road. But takes a run to get there.

What diameter exhaust should I do. I'm going to build my own. Stock is .9 inches od. Online I've seen 1 in and 1 1/14 in.

If you're looking for the best performance, use a pipe that's the same size as the exhaust port. That would be somewhere in the 1" to 1-1/4" range. With a proper exhaust, there will be an area of low pressure behind the last exhaust pulse, which will make a nice place for the exhaust pulse.
