i can check that in the morning. you may be right tho. i figured that a new filter would fix it. cuz before filter, i know it was taking in too much air for sure. where could i get main jets for the carb?

recently purchased a murray go kart. tecumeh power sport engine. bought a generic carb on ebay and air filter for it. will start easily. but will die when gas is pressed all the way or too fast. if i ease onto the gas, it will want to take off but most of the time sputters and dies. any idea...

went to his house today and i had made a mistake....RED one is the frame only one, but it does have fenders and headlight. YELLOW is mostly complete but needs top end. both are probably 6/10 just by looking at em where they sit. might be a little better if they are cleaned up.

turns out i lost the air/fuel mixture screw. it fell out cuz its supposed to be screwed all the way in instead of adjusted out. went to local lawnmower shop and the guy wants 10 bucks! just for the screw! so no riding till i can find a used one from old kart. thanks to all for the advice!

i have a friend who has a hobby ATV shop and he has a TON of random parts and stuff for all makes and models of atvs...well he has two honda odysseys sitting in the middle of a bunch of stuff. one is mostly complete just needs top end i believe he said and some miscellaneous parts...the other is...

is the idle restrictor screw the one that screws into carb from under the bowl or the one in front of carb under idle screw? i dont think i seen another screw inside the carb? i can clean it, i just need to know which one it is... a diagram might help if u have one. thanks in advance

Thanks for the advice, I will try to clean out carb and screw in brass screw all the way, and then adjust idle accordingly. Thanks again to all who helped.

Well I thought there must be a spring, but after the first one fell out and I removed the second one from a stock carb, there was no spring...I guess I'll try locktite. Any idea what the setting is on that screw?

Well the motor did sit for about 8 months but the carb is almost new, I can adjust idle ok but there is another screw below it that fell out completely after I road the kart for a block and back to my house, I got another screw from old carb and need to know how many turns it needs to be out or...
