go according to your book mate they do know how they built their motors & the best grades to run it on the "run in" is probably the most important stage to getting any lasting from your motor good luck buddy have fun

surely if you supply the goodies you control what they get ,,,,,,,,, not to be mean about it but surely your years give you a bit more wisdom than your kids don't you think if you make it close to what they might like does there need to be a problem & it is you supplying the goodies isn't it but...

if i understand your question correctly you feel that you need to clean your carby 1st question is why would you want to play with something you dont understand especially when they work so simply.the only reason you might need to CLEAN your carby is due to using dirty,old,or water contaminated...

the most probable reason for your brakes not working will most likely be that they have gotten too hot & formed a glaze on the shoe lining surface probably mostly from having OIL ON THEM soak them in straight fuel overnight & buff them with coarse sandpaper if you cannot replace them should do...

use your foot dude what else are you going to do with it PADDLE THE THING. 2 hands on the wheel & total control,also faster out of slow tight corners

think about all of this logically from your own point of view, this is only meant to be an example but if you are 10 inches off the ground & your kart is 20 inches wide its not going to feel very safe [you thinking yet ?] that tells me to start at ,at least 2 or 3 times the height for your width...

hi i dont know that there is any rule for centre of gravity but surely common sense would prevail you will need to decide where you intend to use it & decide your ground clearance then it would all take place from there What motor & speeds do you think you will be running?
