I'm a newbie too. Also working with a 5hp B&S: http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=28668 I guess we'll both be learning as we go. I have another engine that I will eventually build into a kart for the youngest one but he's only four so I've got a couple of years for that.

Any good links for cleaning the carb? I used that exact site for selecting my belt. I chose the top one in the A-30 series because I have a 6"driven and I measured a CC of 6.5¨. Thanks!

Help! Kart Bruiser. My kart has symptoms very similar to yours. Its a simple Briggs Engine. I don't know what a petcock is but I'm going to go research that. Any advice you could provide would be much appreciated.
