Just read in the rules that it is preferred to start a new thread rather than resurrect an old one. Here's the one I tried to resurrect:http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?p=356858#post356858

Here's the issue:

Just bought a Dingo with a 5 hp B&S. Changed the oil, cleaned off the air filter and bought a new belt. The engine starts right up and seems to idle high. When I take off I have to feather the gas to keep it from dying. Then, as I'm cruising along for 5-15 seconds the engine dies. It starts right up again on the first pull (with choke on) and we are off to another 5-15 seconds of fun. I tried adjusting
the mixture screw and it doesn't seem to make much difference what the screw setting is; 5-15 and done.

Also, I think the belt I bought may be too short because the kart wants to go forward when idling. Or maybe that's because it's idling so fast.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Any good links for cleaning the carb?

I used that exact site for selecting my belt. I chose the top one in the A-30 series because I have a 6"driven and I measured a CC of 6.5¨.

Thanks!
