Rear Swing Arm - Live Axle

Put a live axle on it and let them have at it. If you want a wing arm frame, design and build it to use the parts you have then swap everything over. durability in go-karts

20 year old cart. Neglected and then resurrected. It's going to have some issues. Much of what you mentioned seems normal enough. Any machinery that you put back into service is going to have these type problems but usually once you get them taken care of, reliability returns within the limits...

    Electric kart lift plans please

Consider a screw driven lift table with an impact. It's already built and you just need to roll the cart on and trigger the impact.

Retired pressure washer service tech here. Some things to know about PWs. Don't play "Rambo" with the gun. It works the "Unloader (type of pressure regulator) which goes bad way more often that the pump seals. Don't run it dry or without enough water to feed it (Cavitation kills pumps quick)...

    New to parts washers

I would strongly advise against petroleum solvents like gas diesel and other fuels. Your insurance wont replace your shop if they cause a fire. I have a process I use. I don't bring anything home that isn't clean. I will use those petro solvents but I spray them with a cheap garden sprayer and...

    Chinese go-kart / dune buggy

My suggestion is to buy a caliper the next time you're in harbor freight and you'll be able to check diameters without worry. It's a handy tool.

    Wanna be

Sounds like sound advice. I really don't want an ATV (too much like a MC and wifey's brother was killed on a MC so she's adamantly against them). That and I used to ride some but never got that bug so much. But as a kid I always wanted a kart but never had the means. Part of joining this forum...

    Wanna be

Hey gang, thanks for the add. A little about me and then maybe some of you can give some guidance. I'm a semi-retired maintenance mechanic and a pretty big fella at 280 and 6 ft. Well tooled up. I'm wanting a ride to bash around the neighborhood on/in. I was thinking a cart frame (no roll cage)...
