Why screw with a pulse pump? just get a carb with an accelerator pump.

Well, I didn't make it last year... but I do have a sweet tube bender. All I need now is to get the engine parts and start the fabrication of the frame. I put some 3x3x1/4 angle in that thing and boy it twisted it up like it was nothing!
