Bare with me as this is my first go kart. Got my sons Dingo up and running and probably got about 5 solid hours of run time on it now. I've noticed a little bit of black specs aka parts of the belt on the Torque Converter plate that is bolted to the engine. When I look at the belt it looks...
Well I finally got the Kart up and running and it seems like I got all the bugs worked out. Brakes still need to be adjust a bit, but hey they work. I ended up rigging up some peddle extenders out of 2x4. Just drilled a hole thru them and bolted them to regular peddle. Next thing on the...
Just been doing little things to the kart. I picked up a predator engine today and ordered a 30 series torque converter set up. I replaced all the hardware on the kart with good fresh nuts and bolts. Most the other stuff was way rusted out. I ordered new pedal springs and did install and wire...
Sorry for all the dumb questions guys, but does anyone know how to tell if this part of my original comet converter is still working. It will spin free off the bump stops when I rotate it opposite direction and spring still seems like it has pressure. I was thinking if this still works I'll...
I'm in the process of re powering a Manco Dingo with a predator 212 and was just wondering what the best knock off Torque Converter is. When I look on Amazon they all basically look the same, but prices vary from $60 to $120. This is my first go cart so just wondering if one knock off is...
I took off the top rusty part of the torque converter and everything inside of it just crumbled. Springs and nuts just turned to dust.....is it still salvable and more importantly would it still work with the Predator engine? Sorry for all the dumb questions. Like I said this is my first go...
On that last picture that has the plate with the Torque Converter on it. Does anyone know if I will need to reuse that plate with the new Predator motor? Or is it just part of the old style torque converter?

Thanks for the offer!!! It is the same engine. I just hate to throw any amount of $$$ at the current engine when the Predator is so cheap. Hopefully with a new engine and new torque converter it doesn't fight me too much and will be a plug and play type of deal.
I'm new here and wanted to introduce my self. Just picked up a Manco Dingo to rebuild for my 6 yr old son. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions along the way. Anyone else from Texas. I'm just outside of San Antonio.
I got it cleaned up. The engine isn't locked up, but it's missing the air filter and the carb is trash. I tried spraying it but it won't fire off. I checked and no spark. I have a coupon to harbor freight to get a 6.5 hp predator for $99 so I'm just going to go that route. Does anyone know...
