    Dingo's Offroad Mower Build

They are quite forgiving , my conversion spent the majority of it's run time at valve float. But yeah, heavy cast iron , better be safe. How fast you trying to go now? :sifone:

    Divorced Gearbox 4 speed Manual

Had this mosquito fogger 125cc china engine cracked open for over a year. Finally dids it. Removed all the unnecessary junk, torched /cut off the rod, blocked off holes , ect. Patched a crack with good ol marine tex. Ground the rivets off the flywheel, extracted the hub, and found an inch...

    Tav40 not working

Well, if the drive is really 10t, with a 54t rear sprocket , you have a 5.4 to 1 gear ratio That , will give you, at a governed speed of 3600rpm, high ratio, 66KPH top speed. Takeoff ratio , with clutch in low range , 13.122:1 . Starting speed of 12kph. Below that the belt has to slip to move...

    Tav40 not working

Ok, interesting design choice. Never seen a knockoff 40 series Comet with a thinner drive belt by choice. In that case, the powered handling of the clutch is lowered, so, yes, gearing may be a big issue. You may need to gear steeper to compensate for less meat on the belt. I was trying to...

    Tav40 not working

The details make a difference. For your rig @3600rpm 10t=40mph 12t=48mph 14t=56mph, for sure to burn up belts , even when set up right. But id start by getting the correct width belt for the clutch to fit correct and work, you should not have to use a skinner belt, negates the point of...

    Tav40 not working

I would look into why you have to use a 30 series belt to make it work, and get a count on that front sprocket. And is the belt symmetrical? Anyway when I troubleshoot something, I try to set everything right, reduce variables, and narrow down the problem.

    Tav40 not working

It that a 3/4 belt? That looks skinny or burned down. Both your moving sheaves are on the same side, This is what sid was trying to tell you. In this case the Driven clutch, the one on the jackshaft, needs flipped the other way, if you want the cvt to work like comet intended. And keep the...

Is this a challenge? Id just simplify and make wood flip flops, and flintstone it. Im sure the spindles can be sourced from the right shaped tree branchs. And left.

    Gaming Chitchat

At least when there was one locally, around 5 years ago, so much good stuff got thrown out. Seems like lots of people just buy a new one, when their unit gets slow. Instead of cleaning it up and getting rid of bloatware. Many decently relevant, and vintage pieces. Pulled an EICO ST70 full...

No sir that's too heavy for the 100mph goal, balsa frame. I was talking the heatshrink wrapping for model airplanes, aerodynamics and weight savings are mission critical.

Balsa wood and monokote are the preferred construction materials.
