No I can't read it, scraped right across the model number. From previous posts and sorting through the Carter list, it's real close to the 2575-3017,3018. The small hoop on the front left side of the frame, I can't seem to find on any Carter models yet.

On Super Wheels by Carter model 2575, band brake, what makes the brake pedal return? What else should I look for? The rod runs by the frame in a couple places but seems to be bent correctly.

I got a chance to work on my neighbors kart. The sticker for my single seat Super Wheels Model 1215 was under my seat. I took the cushion off his two seater, the seat frame was rusty. I've suggested replacing the throttle cable, it's a little frayed by the carb, I never seen where it connects...

Added lights Since I bought this kart with a starter & battery setup, I didn't think a lot about removing them. Instead I thought about riding mowers with starters having lights. So I added a light kit and installed the switch in my janky column key start.

Clutch bolt and washer Ok, thanks. I think with the plates & the engine flex, the previous owner added that big washer to help keep the chain on, as it would come off rounding corners, before removing the plates. I don't remember my old kart having any bolt or washer in the end of the shaft...

In these photos you can my 2nd attempt at holding the brake rod off the brake drum. I removed the copper wire holding it up and installed a window lock on the engine plate. This not only held up the rod from touching the drum, slight adjustment up would keep the band from touching all the way...

Engine remount With the starter moved I was ready to mount the engine directly to the plate. I removed the seat, sanded a bit and found the original sticker with model number and painted on some black. Then I removed the engine and plates. Remounted the engine, it needed to be all the way...

I'm sure there is a paper/cardboard gasket between manifold and carb. This was a piece of metal and it must not have been sitting flush for some reason. It didn't just slide off, I had to pry it off but it was the part causing a gap. Runs fine without it, maybe I will revisit this again...
